Bohemian Addiction

Hair feathers create an effortless Bo-Ho look. Are you obessed? I am. Who doesnt want to look like they  just stepped off of an indie photo shoot in California??

You can curl them, wash them and do what ever you want with them! They also last from 1-3 months depending on the feather and salon. My best friend Alex got a peacock feather and a red feather.

 DIY:
If getting feather extensions is not for you make a clip or headband that embodies this carefree boho look. You can easily find leaves, and feathers from arts and crafts stores such to attach to hair clips or headbands with some hot glue.

To achieve the perfect wavy boho hair:
1. let hair dry naturally without any product
2. when hair is about 60% dry spray with a sea salt mist.
3. Scrunch hair either with your hand or with an old t-shirt. Using a towel creates too much friction and will cause your hair to become frizzy.
4. When hair has completely air dried use a wide toothed comb and gather hair at the roots then blow dry just the hair at the roots. This will add volume.
5. To add more waves take a 1inch or 1/2 inch barrel curling iron and hold downward. Without opening the clamp grab a section about an inch big and wrap around away from the face. Do not wrap hair all the way around instead stop when your about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom. Roll on unroll the separate section on the bottom onto the barrel about 5 times. Let go of the hair and left it fall. You should have a beachy effect. I would do this to random sections of your hair and mainly around your face but remember NOT TO USE THE CLAMP and ROLL HAIR AWAY FROM FACE. You don't want prom curls.
6. If desired spray sea salt mist again and scrunch with your hand to incorporate the waves into the rest of your hair

Recommended Products:

David Babaii Bohemian Beach Spray:  Runs for around $12 and you can get it at most drug stores. I found it at Rite Aid. I love this product but along with many other sea salt sprays you have to reapply throughout the day. It smells like coconuts and I have gotten many compliments on the how my hair smelled!

Hot Tools Ceramic and Titanium Curling Iron: Best Curling Iron I have ever used. It can be found at most ever beauty store for about $40. The Ceramic and Titanium feature improves shine, eliminates frizz and doesn't cause as much damage as other curling irons.
